Pulsar's 1,500W inverter generator delivers quiet, parallel-ready power in a compact package. It is a good fit for RV trips, camping and light backup needs when you do not need the higher output of a larger model.

Gas generators deliver a lot of power for the price and can run as long as you have fuel. The trade-offs are fuel storage, regular maintenance and outdoor-only operation, so they suit people who want maximum output for outages, job sites and RV use.

Key specs

  • 1,500W peak / 1,200W running output
  • Quiet-running inverter design
  • Parallel ready (pairs with a second compatible unit for more power)

Best for

  • RV and camping
  • Light home backup
  • Anyone who wants quiet, portable power

What a generator this size can typically power

Examples only, as long as the combined running watts plus the highest starting surge stay within the generator's rating. Always check the label on your own appliances.

  • Phone and laptop chargers, lights and a TV
  • A modern refrigerator (check its start-up surge)
  • A microwave of about 700W or less
  • A small fan

Good to know

Starting (peak) watts are only available for a few seconds when a motor or compressor kicks on; running (rated) watts are what the generator can supply continuously. Add up the running watts of everything you plan to power and allow for the extra starting watts of motorized appliances. Safety: run any fuel-burning generator outdoors, well away from doors, windows and vents, and never in a garage or enclosed space, because exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Do not connect a generator to household wiring unless a licensed electrician has installed a proper transfer switch. Read the manufacturer's manual before first use.

Setup and care

  • Read the manual and check oil and fuel before every start
  • Place on level ground outdoors with plenty of airflow
  • Let it cool before refueling and store fuel in approved containers
  • Keep a working carbon monoxide alarm inside your home

Frequently asked questions

Can I run it in my garage or near a window?
No. Run it outdoors and well away from doors, windows and vents. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide, which can be deadly.

What fuel and oil does it use?
Use the fuel type and oil grade listed in the manufacturer's manual. Never run it past empty or refuel while it is running or hot.

Can I power my whole house?
Not directly. Connecting to household wiring requires a licensed electrician to install a proper transfer switch, and the load must stay within the running watts.

How do I look after it?
Follow the maintenance schedule in the manual, run it briefly every month or two, and do not leave old fuel in the tank for long storage.
